A welcome reception will be held in Kings Hall at Old Parliament House on Wednesday July 3 from 5-7pm.
Kings Hall is located at the heart of the building. The bronze statue of King George V has been a central feature of the hall since the building opened in 1927. Situated between the House of Representatives and Senate Chambers, it was a busy crossroads. During parliamentary sittings King’s Hall was a hive of activity, swarming with members and senators, officers, journalists, secretaries, public servants, lobbyists and tourists.
Drinks and canapes will be provided. Attendance is included as part of the conference registration rates, however we kindly request that you include the reception option when completing your registration so that we may cater accordingly.
The ANZCA 2019 conference dinner will be held on Thursday July 4 from 7-10pm. The location for the dinner is the National Press Club in Barton. The Press Club is a short four-minute drive or 12 minutes’ walk from the conference venue at Old Parliament House.
Whether the issue of the day is political, economic, corporate, diplomatic, military or societal, the National Press Club plays a significant role in Australian Society. It is an institution that reaches the influencers and decision makers of Australia; be they Federal or State Parliamentarians, political advisors, Government Heads of Departments, the diplomatic community, academia, legal and health professions, journalists and local community leaders.
Having recently undergone a refurbishment, the venue reopened in 2018. Its award-winning functions team continues to provide diners with premium contemporary Australian Cuisine.
The cost of the dinner is $100.
