The main ANZCA 2019 conference will be held at the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House (MOAD). MOAD is a living museum of social and political history, located in a nationally listed heritage building in Parkes, Canberra.
Conveniently located within the Parliamentary Triangle in the inner south of Canberra, the venue is within walking distance of the hotels listed on our accommodation page.
Several cultural institutions are also within an easy walk of the venue, including the National Library of Australia, the National Portrait Gallery, the National Gallery of Australia, and Questacon.
As there is limited all-day parking at the venue, the museum’s website provides details for those wishing to use public transport to get to and from the conference. MOAD is wheelchair accessible, with signposted accessible parking available at the front of the building.
ECR pre-conference venue
The early-career researcher and doctoral student pre-conference will be held on Tuesday July 2 at the University of Canberra campus in Bruce.
The room location will be advised when the program for the day is released, but in the mean time you can keep up to date with what’s happening on the ANZCA Emerging Scholars Facebook page.
